At the first luncheon meeting in September, six entering freshmen were entertained. They were: Evan Nelson, Jerry Dean Kelly, Kent Calhoun, Wayne Linman, James Wittenberg, and David Merle Litsey. Among other things they were given pointers on how not to buy antique desks from sharp sophomores.
Dartmouth Night festivities will be held this year at Gluek's Tap Room, with host Al Gluek presiding.
Chuck Carleton '41, Pillsbury Flour Mills, is leaving Minneapolis and going to New York to take over a job in the export department of the company. He will be missed very much, and his going means we will have to scurry around and find ourselves another news letter editor.
Henry Thrall '06, who most of you know has been in Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis for several months, is progressing very nicely. His conversation is full of spark and he tells us that the doctors say his recovery is ahead of schedule.
