Loyalty was the keynote of President Dickey's Convocation Address, and this was best exemplified by Sid Milnor '25 who alone drove down and back from Williamsport the same evening to attend Dartmouth Night at the home of George E. Foss '97 in Harrisburg —approximately 200 milesl And too, all the way from Hollidaysburg came Irv Kiesling '42 and from New Oxford, John Wadham '03. The York regulars attended Walt Lashar Jr. '27, Hank Pierce Jr. '37 and Phil Molloy '25, and also, Harold Van Riper '14 from Carlisle. Prexy "Bo" Daniels '32, John Case '40, BobOffenbach '34, John Lyon '35, Bill Page Jr. '33, Dr. John Fritchey '27, Sid Bogar '28 and your secretary rounded out the Harrisburg group.
The treasurer reported a balance on hand of $18.72, and a warm welcome was made to our new member, John Case, who hails from Jersey.
Jack Loose '33 has moved to Philadelphia, and we had word from Bill Wilson '34 that he is no longer at Geisinger Hospital in Danville but now is in Hanover running our own Mary Hitchcock. He sends his best to the Club and has a warm "Welcome" mat out for us all. Our friend, Jack Dodge '35, reports he is in the far west, and Jack Wright '37 is back in Schenectady.
Seen at the Penn game were: Rog Harrison '39 and Jim Sampson '39 both of Lancaster, Chester Woolworth '16 of Lititz, Harold VanRiper '14, Ed Elsenhans '35 and his pretty bride, Jane, now of Phila., Bill Page Jr. and his good wife, Faye, and "Bo" Daniels with his attractive wife, Peggy. And we understand practically the same group will be making the Princeton game.
And now a word to George Foss, the founder and granddaddy of our Club. George, you have seen this Club grow in a half century from one man to sixty-one. You have never missed a Dartmouth Night. You have seen many Dartmouth men come and go—but you have held this Club together through stress and strain and with perseverance you have guided it high in the eyes of the College. Indeed, we of Central Pennsylvania are indebted to you in many ways and we all now wish to send you a warm WAH HOO WAH!
