Curtailment in all class notes for this February issue is made necessary by the 33rd Annual Alumni Fund Report and names of all contributors appearing in this issue. We gladly give way. In these important Fund campaigns our class is especially fortunate in having as its leader the efficient class agent whose picture appears here.
The holiday season brought greetings from many classmates, and from families of members now deceased. They are an inspiration to your secretary as he enters upon his duties for the coming year. They also draw a little closer the bond that holds in a loyal group our few members that are left.
The day after Christmas, George Bard, who spent the holiday with his relatives in Cambridge, Mass., called upon your secretary soon after the noon hour as an early forenoon snow storm was changing into rain. The time passed pleasantly and quickly as we chatted by an open fire until a call on the telephone from his relatives in Cambridge announced that in the fierce storm that was raging there about six inches of snow had fallen and that he had better return to their home before matters became worse. Conditions outside had not been realized until then, when it was found that it was raining hard in Boston and no taxicab service was to be had by telephone. After great difficulty—wading through slush in a pelting rainstorm—a stray taxicab was picked up on a near-by street, which took him safely back to Cambridge.
