All Class Note writers received word from the ALUMNI MAGAZINE that the February issue was to be mainly devoted to a report of the 1947 Fund Drive, and were requested to cut down just as much as possible to leave room for the list of names of the 1947 contributors. Therefore, we will cooperate and only note the following.

Howie Stockwett, as our class agent for the coming five-year period, has designated the following as his assistant agents:

Ralph R. Britton Leon J. Cone James T. Durkee William C. Eaton W. Douglas Fleming Francis Grady Luman B. Howe Frederick R. Husk Feme R. Hutchinson Samuel R. Mackillop Everett L. Olds Leonard J. Reade John W. Saladine Robert D. Scott Victor C. Smith Karl L. Thielscher

Ralph A. Wells

Johnnie Wheelock has accepted the editorship of The Sentry, and I know we will all cooperate and by doing so, will assure the next five years as banner ones for the class of '17. Just a word in explanation of the change in editors of The Sentry. Bill Sewall, as everyone knows, was asked to continue as editor, but Bill thought he would not have the time and that it might be a smart policy that any one person did not continue indefinitely as the writer for this particular class paper. I know we all feel, probably I more than anyone else, that Bill did a really outstanding job in not only helping materially to bring our class contribution up to the very top of the whole college list, but also was an inspiration to many of the other class news editors in their effort. Our class of 'l7 owes an awful lot to Bill, and I just want him to know from all of us that we deeply regret his decision to discontinue.

We will be back to normal in our March issue and hope many of you men will send in some news of yourselves and families.

Fund Contributors for 1947 266 Gifts (Participation Index 99). Total gifts: $10,843.55 (114% of objective). KARL W. KOENIGER, Class Agent.
