DECEMBER 27, 1947—COLUMBUS ATHLETIC CLUB—holiday cheer and lunch enjoyed by 13 undergraduates and 17 alumni. Those are the statistics that describe this year's undergraduate-alumni meeting, one of the most pleasant events on our calendar. We're particularly pleased that every one of the Columbus undergraduates was able to come, also the men from Mt. Vernon and Lancaster. The Glee Club records provided a bit of Hanover atmosphere and informal comments by several undergraduates on the current Dartmouth scene were most interesting to us alumni.

Those present were: UNDERGRADUATES- Nicholas Vorys '46 (Lancaster, Ohio), David L. Auld '48, William G. Pace III '48, William D. Pettit '48, Roger E. Gaylord '50, Boynton Merrill Jr. '50, Thomas Sours '50, Peter B. Bogardus '51 (Mt. Vernon, Ohio), John A. Hoskins '51, Thomas M. Porter '5l; John E. Sater '51, Jerome Staton '51, and James M. Tobin '51.

ALUMNI-Lindley R. Dean '09 (Granville, Ohio), Alpheus English 'l5, Rev. Boynton Merrill '15, Mott D. Brown 'l7, Kenneth L. Sater '21, Russell D. Webster '26, Robert W. Tucker Jr. '27, Ed W. Atkinson '28, Robert W. McClure '29, William C. Brown '33, Richard P. Goldthwait '33, Walter F. Heer Jr. '37, Fred Laughton '37, Samuel J. Caldwell '38, Richard J. Heer '40, Lorenzo P. Baker Jr. '44, and William G. Porter Jr. '45.

MUST HAVE BEEN A WONDERFUL MEAL: Part of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Northern California and Nevada played host to several undergraduates and prospective undergraduates of the Big Green at their regular Wednesday noon luncheon at St. Julian's Restaurant, in San Francisco, on Dec. 31.
