IN SPITE OF THE THREAT OF ANOTHER BLIZZARD, the officers and Executive Committee of the Long Island Association met Wednesday night, February 4, for their monthly business meeting at Ed Warnke's "19. Those present were John Shaw '27, Jack Coulson '39, Mel Katz '33, Wally Rushmore '32, Gene Sullivan '27, Elwood Doyle '36, John Wolff '32, and Frank Rath '30.
Since our last meeting, the entertainment committee, guided by Elwood Doyle '36 and Ed Warnke '19, has made tremendous strides toward organizing the Dartmouth College Glee Club Concert for Monday evening, March 29. This will be our first big program of the year, and we mean Big. Nothing is being left undone to make this a memorable occasion for both Dartmouth on Long Island and the Glee Club.
Our recent mailing piece indicates that there are over 400 men interested in taking an active part in the organization. Keep this in mind when you receive your tickets for the Concert because there are only 700 seats available in the Garden City High School Auditorium.
Plans are now in the making for the spring dance in May; however, more about that later. In the meantime, don't forget to send your dues ($1.00) to Wally Rushmore '32, 186 Linden Road, Mineola, L. I. Above all, reserveMonday evening, March 29, for the Glee ClubConcert at 8:30 P.M., in the Garden City HighSchool Auditorium, Garden City, Long Island.
