PRESIDENT DICKEY WILL ADDRESS MOHAWK VALLEY DARTMOUTH CLUB
JOHN SLOAN DICKEY, president of Dartmouth College, will address the Dartmouth Club of the Mohawk Valley at a luncheon in the Hotel Utica on April 1. Sidney C. Hayward, secretary to the college, announced that George H. Colton '35, executive secretary of the Alumni Fund committee and editor of the Bulletin, will accompany Dickey.
James M. Brown, local president, urges all members to attend. He said,
"This visit of President Dickey represents a special attempt on the part of College authorities to recognize the endeavors of the Mohawk Valley Alumni Club during the post-war period. This effort also results from the realization of our high degree of activity and interest in Dartmouth, as reported back to the college by Bob Hage '35, executive secretary of the Hopkins Center Project."
Hayward calls attention to the fact that this affair will be conducted during the spring vacation. This presents the opportunity for local undergraduates of Dartmouth to mingle with local Alumni.
Everyone should make a special effort to hear President Dickey.
Roland Chesley, chairman of the Alumni admissions board for this area reports that nearly 20 candidates have been interviewed. All are of high calibre and the college will have a tough time differentiating. Chesley suggests that these candidates be invited to hear Dickey.
A traditional Dartmouth-style skiing weekend, of the type that proved so successful last year, was slated for the weekend of February 14, at Turin's Snow Ridge. President Jim Brown named Wistar M. Williams as chairman. Were you able to break away from that easy chair?
