At THE REGULAR luncheon meeting on March 29, 1948, attended by eleven members of the Executive Committee and six other members of the association, the question of the Dartmouth Awards was discussed at length. It was agreed to present the Awards in the local high schools again this year but decided that further thought be given to discontinuing the Awards after this year if some sort of scholarship aid can be presented in lieu thereof. Horace Taylor Jr. '23, as regional chairman, discussed the Hopkins Center campaign, reported on progress to this point and outlined the program he has planned.
On Monday night, April 5, the Glee Club concert in East Aurora, sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club, was attended by several of the Western New York Alumni, including Boyce Butterfield '24, Barney Thielscher '17, Sel Mack '20, R. Bredenberg '48, Warren Shumway '66 and others.
Plans are now underway for the annual Cornell - Dartmouth - Michigan - Pennsylvania golf outing which is tentatively scheduled for July 29, at the Transit Valley Country Club.
