As each month passes by the '57 bachelor stronghold becomes a bit smaller because the troops are constantly defecting to that great white panacea .. . marriage. Last Christmas Eve John Seely married Zeynep Cagla of Istanbul, Turkey. The wedding ceremony was held in Nyack, N. Y.
Wedding bells rang for '57's famous New York bistro operator Bob Sproull last December. Bob joined forces with Myrna Lou Meyer of Greenville, S. C. Assisting in the seating of guests and the consumption of champagne were Bruce Bernstein, Pete Carothers, and John Blades.
March appears to be the month to report about banking industry promotions. The National Shawmut Bank of Boston recently announced the promotion of Shane Cunningham to assistant cashier. In New York, Ron Judson was appointed an assistant cashier. Research and Development at the First National City Bank. Ron joined the bank in 1960. Before assuming his new position Ron was a member of the Personal Trust and Securities Operations Department.
Chuck Schroeder bounced into San Francisco last month for a conference which was being held in nearby Palo Alto. Chuck reported that all was well with the Schroeder family (infant count now two) on the home-front in Evanston, Ill. Chuck rides the corn muter rail to Chicago where he is associated with a private investment firm, Corp. Chuck's prime responsibility at Miami is portfolio management of investment securities.
TODDLERS: Ron and Frances Chilcote became the proud parents last November of a member - and don't let this number make you feel time marches on –of the class of 1985. Here's hoping you do become a member of the class of 1985, Stephen Hodell Chilcote.
BREVITS: Bill Gennerich is associated with the law firm, Kelley, Drye, Newhall, tvlaginnes and Warren in Forest Hills, N. Y. Six thousand miles away from Bill's Megapolis home is Bob McCorriston who has remained a loyal Hawaiian Island resident since June 1957. Bob is a member of the "team" at American Factors which has headquarters in Honolulu. How is that surf at Makaha, Bob? Jack Schroeder, Captain USAF that is, is attached to the 355th Tactical Fighter Wing stationed at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan.
Down Virginia way, Pete Williams is spending his busy hours at the University of Virginia Law School. Further south, GeorgeCox is now enjoying that ever-loving Florida sunshine. Doctor George is attached to the Medical Dispensary, Naval Air Station in Jacksonville. Another Navy man, Lt.John Fishburn, has a warm climate for a base of operations. John is attached to the Fleet ASW School at San Diego. DavidChia has become a part of Orville Freeman's mighty Department of Agriculture. Dave is an analytical chemist with the Department and resides in Berkeley, Calif.
