ED MARLETTE '41, president of the local alumni association, has announced that the annual Cornell-Dartmouth-Michigan Pennsylvania outing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 29, at the Transit Valley Country Club. Everyone who has ever attended one of these affairs in past years at Cherry Hill Country Club knows that this is the outing of the year.

As usual, the golf competition for the famous "Wailing Bowl," now in the possession of Cornell, will be keen and the Big Green will need the help of all Indian golfers in the district if we are to regain possession of it. Other events will include horseshoes, cards, galloping dominoes, beer, ice cream (for the tired businessman) and the customary song-fest extolling the virtues of the A. & P. (for the benefit of Lambert '21 and Burlingame '26). Prizes will be awarded for everything and to everyone attending.

Further details of the party will be mailed to members of the Western New York group a few weeks in advance of the event but any and all alumni, who may be in the vicinity (particularly good golfers), are cordially invited and urged to attend. Remember the date—June 29!

NORTH SHORE CLUB GREETS PRESIDENT DICKEY: President Dickey was guest speaker at the meeting of the North Shore Dartmouth Club, at the Hotel Hawthorne, Salem, Mass., on April 30. During the dinner, silver bowls, shown on the table, were presented to Marblehead High School and Swampscott High School to remain their property and to be known as the "Dartmouth Bowls." Each year the student winner of the award will be presented with a miniature bowl (also shown in the picture) duly inscribed. At the dinner, small bowls were presented to Roland Booma '30, former president of the Club, and retiring president Daniel B. Ruggles '21. Shown here, I. to r., are: front row, Randall T. Cox '26, Edward R. Butterworth '30, Daniel B. Ruggles '21, President Dickey, and William B. Welch '23; back row, Kenneth D. Tucker '16, Richard C. Litchfield '22, Lester A. King '25, Charles W. Bartlett '27, Roland Booma '30 Halsey H. Mills '23, and John Read '23.
