President Bob Critchell '33 is aiming to have a balanced schedule of alumni activities for the Dartmouth men in this locality. On August 36, we will all gather again at the farm of Louis Leverone '04 for our annual outing which will include a red-hot soft ball game between the alumni and the undergrads. Then comes our annual Christmas cocktail party during the week before Christmas, topped off with a sensational basketball game to be played New Year's Eve between Northwestern University and the Big Green at the Evanston High School Gym. Bob is then hoping that we can have a repeat performance of the Hanover Holiday next spring and that the Glee Club will stop again in Chicago before his term of office ends in '49. Other less spectacular events will round out our program, such as the recent visit of basketball coach Elmer Lampe who was at our luncheon on June 14.
Recent press notices revealed that NedMansure '24 was elected president of the Board of the Cook County Hospital. His beaming countenance graced the picture page of the "Trib" the other morning surrounded by the lovelies who were just graduated from the School of Nursing at the Hospital. Several of our alumni attended the wedding on June 19 of Cal Bauer '50 of suburban Highland Park to Kathleen Watson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dudley Crafts Watson, also of Highland Park.
