THE following weekend saw another influx of alumni for the Colgate game. Prominent among them were the Dartmouth Trustees, in town for the business of the annual fall meeting of the Board but not averse to seeing the Big Green in action as an item on the extracurricular docket.

At their two business sessions the Trustees concerned themselves primarily with financial matters. From Halsey C. Edgerton '06, retired Treasurer of the College, who is continuing partial administrative work with the title of Consultant, the Board received his 33rd and last financial report, covering the fiscal year 1948-49. A summary of this report will be found in this issue. From John F. Meek '33, new Treasurer, the Trustees received the budget for the current year, and it was on the prospective outlay and intake of funds that they spent most of their working time.

The October 14 meeting was marked by the full attendance of the 12-man Board. In addition to President Dickey, in whose Parkhurst office the sessions were held, those present included John R. McLane '07 of Manchester, N. H., Life Trustee and clerk of the Board; Victor M. Cutter '03 of Boston, William W. Grant '03 of Denver, Edward S. French '06 of Boston, and Dr. John F. Gile '16 of Hanover, all Life Trustees; Dudley W. Orr '29 of Concord. N. H., Harvey P. Hood '18 of Boston, Beardsley Ruml '15 of New York, Nelson A? Rockefeller '30 of New York, and Sigurd S. Larmon '14 of New York, all Alumni Trustees; and Sherman Adams '20, Governor of New Hampshire, ex-officio Trustee during his Governorship.
