It's time again for Christmas and New Year best wishes.

The class newsletter will soon report on the very successful post-game gathering of the class of 1947 on Harvard-Dartmouth weekend. The rum punch was excellent, and there were enough familiar and new faces to keep the party interesting. The New England organization, especially Hank Spiers and PhilSegal, deserve a great deal of credit in their initial venture.

Wedding bells rang in October for the former Miss Jacquelyn Denton and Bob Bohn in Bristol, N. H. Best man at the ceremony was Larry Denton, brother of the bride. The couple will make their home in Redding, Conn.

Andrew Carstensen is now associated with the Cleveland general agency as a life underwriter of New England Mutual Life Insurance Company. Classmates who received advanced degrees this summer from Harvard University are: Ralph Brackett, Doctor of Medicine; Leonard Grimes, John Kaufman, and Fred Robbins, Bachelor of Laws; and Harry Sarkisian, Master of Arts.

Bob Kirsch visited the Hanover Inn on October 7. Walter Anderson is an engineer, working in the Aviation Gas Turbine Division of Westinghouse in Lester, Pa. BillBailey is an actuarial assistant for the National Bureau of Casualty Underwriters. Dr.Robert Berry Jr. is at the Roosevelt Hospital in N.Y.C.

Walter Blair is an insurance agent in Lebanon, N. H. Henry Brezinski is teaching in Arlington, Vt. Hugh Chapin is doing insurance work in Glens Falls, N. Y. LouisCohen is a civil engineer for Suburban Sanitary Comm. in Hyattsville, Md. Lavern Courton is working for the U. S. Smelting, Refining & Mining Company of Nome, Alaska. Lt. Bruce Cunliffe is now at Camp Lejeune, N. C. George Duncan is a claim Investigator for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Brooklyn.

Robert Ferguson is an accountant in Wichita, Kan. Sax Fletcher is doing newspaperwork for the Sanford Tribune, Sanford, Me. Bill Harding is a credit investigator for the National Credit Office, Inc. in Boston. BillKnight is an insurance adjuster for Liberty Mutual in Boston. Leonard Kojm is aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. Sydney Lishner is a mechanical engineer for Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton, Ohio.

Coleman Myers is a law student at Columbia University. Bob Nelson is a chemist, living in Cambridge, Mass. Newbold Cooper is a medical student at Girard College, Philadelphia. Dick O'Haren is a communications engineer living in St. Louis, Mo. Charles Osborn is an engineer, working for Standard Oil of Ohio in Cleveland.

Russ Pfaff is a salesman, living in Jamaica, N. Y. Henry Powell is Merchandise Manager for J. B. White & Co. in Columbia, S. C. Dick Rearick is in the insurance business in Suffield, Conn. Lans Reed is a sales engineer for Aluminum Co. of America in Newark.

Roger Reynolds is Assistant Purchasing Agent of Textiles for The Bell Co. in Worcester, Mass. Fred Ruoff is an advisor in college English at the Marine Corps Institute in Washington, D. C. Ed Senghas is in the auditing department of the Guaranty Trust Company of N. Y. in NYC. Milt Stone is a bowling alley manager in Taunton, Mass.

Ben Tice is in the marketing department of Standard Oil of California in Long Beach. George Welch is a sales representative for General Electric Appliances Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dave Wilcox is a special representative for N. E. Tel. and Tel. Co. in Lowell, Mass. Art Wilson is a passenger representative for Grace Line, Inc. in NYC. DaveWright is a salesman for the Shell Oil Company in Des Moines, lowa.

"Toughie" John T. Gray is working with Benton & Bowles, Inc. of NYC, traveling all over the country doing sales survey work in the grocery field. Toughie is "hopelessly single," but has enjoyed a trip this past summer to Hanover.

Greg Holbrook graduated from school in February of 1948 and went to work with a Dutch paper exporter, in training for overseas work. Greg is now working for Dayton, Price & Co., also an exporter of paper goods, handling about 50 of these various products, working in the Merchandizing Department, looking forward someday to being a sales representative probably in the Far East. Greg reports the marriage of Bill Bailey to Emily Woods, Smith '48 and a native of Phoenix, Ariz.

Bill Hallager is a second-year Tuck student, enjoying life in Hanover. LeonardGrimes, mentioned earlier as a recent graduate of Harvard Law School, is a clerk for one of the Justices of the Minnesota Supreme Court. Dick Madison, still flying between Buffalo, N. Y. and Melrose, Mass., has recently had trouble with his trick shoulder.

Don Edwards is now doing graduate work in zoology at the University of Missouri. George Tivining is working for the Bank of America in Los Angeles. Neil Jorgensen and Blanchard Pratt are studying electrical engineering at Thayer School. Bob Keane, with United Engineers, is working around the clock on the Wilder Dam. George Gerrish,Dick Lezius, Dick Menin, and Wes Carr are at Tuck School this year.

Mike Pender, married last June at the White Church in Hanover to the former Miss Francine Joan Krosschell of Newton Centre, Mass., is now studying civil engineering at Thayer School. Don Edwards was best "man at the ceremony.

Roy Harris is employed with a retail chain store organization, specializing in the sale of optical goods to the metropolitan New York public. Roy and his wife expect an heir apparent around the beginning of March. HalJohnston is now with the Bureau of Reclamation, handling the land acquisition program for the Lower Colorado River District. Hal is living in Yuma, Ariz., and says that Jim Lightner, working with Raymond Concrete Pile Co., was recently married to Louise "Tex" McLean.

Larry Goodman is working for Ormond Hosiery Shops, Inc. in the preparation of merchandising statistics. Larry says that Al Gasner is working for the Lindy Heater Coil Company, after having completed the TuckThayer course. Bob Foote is in the training program of the Port of New York Authority, after having received his master's degree in city planning at Yale.

Tom Gustenhoven is working for a consulting engineer, mostly incineration and sewage treatment work, in Perth Amboy, N.J. Tom sees Norm Falkinsand and Ron Schiavone weekly. These three have gotten together regularly with Red Scollard, recently engaged to MaryHope "Bambi" Minton now finishing at Jackson College; Paul Henegan, at the Harvard Business School; Artie Hendler and "Bombo"Snedaker.

Don Evans has resigned from his teachingcoaching position at Millbrook to attend the Harvard Law School. Sally and Ed Byrkit are getting along well in Pittsburgh.
