We are short on news this issue, which means-that all of you who haven't sent in some news within the last five years are due to send me a note! In fact, we might be due for another theme: With global warming a major topic of discussion, how about each of you who work in some area related to the environment take a few minutes to let us know what you are doing.

Kristin (Marshall) Cartwright recently checked in from Dallas. She writes, "My husband, Bret '90, and I live here, where we are raising our three children Abigail, 10, Christopher, 8, and Jonathan, 5.1 am a stay-at-home mom and do some contract work. Renee Foisy, who has two beautiful little girls (Corinne 4, and Gabrielle 1), and I keep in touch. She moved from Dallas to Baldwinsville New York, in 2005 and is staying home with her kids, too."

As usual, several classmates have recently been in the news. Last October Genevieve Neal-Perry, M.D., Ph.D., was selected to receive an early career grant from the American Federation for Aging Research to study the hypothalamus' role in reproductive aging, a complex process that affects fertility and contributes to other health-related problems, including osteoporosis and heart disease. Dr. Neal-Perry s research will most likely provide insight into new therapies to delay the onset of menopause and menopause-re- lated illnesses.

Then in November Ron Grant was appointed president and COO of AOL LLC. Before moving to Time Warner Ron was seniorvice president of business affairs and development for America Online, where he managed a team responsible for business development. Prior to AOL he was a partner in the communications and entertainment practice of Mercer Management Consulting, where he specialized in creating and managing growth strategies for clients in the Internet, telecommunications and media industries.
