On Friday, September 23, a group of Jacksonville alumni gathered at a luncheon meeting at the Hotel Seminole. Present were I. M. Sulzbacher '34, James P. McGovern '38, Albert Balboni '39, Francis P. L'Engle Jr. '40, Paul D. Wessells '4O, Art Spoeneman '41, Bill Baxter '38, John G. Lee Jr. '47, and Al Seitner '34. Also present were Lawrence Howard, who has two sons now attending Dartmouth, Lawrence Jr. '51 and Jim '53, and Bob Pierce '25 of Miami, the Southern representative on the Dartmouth Alumni Council.

I. M. Sulzbacher presided and introduced Bob Pierce who gave a very interesting talk on recent developments in Hanover and plans for the formation of new Dartmouth clubs throughout the country.

All present voted to organize a Dartmouth Club of Jacksonville and the following officers were elected: LeRoy Johnson 15, President, Dr. Tom Field '07, Vice-President; and AlSeitner '34, Secretary-Treasurer.

LeRoy Johnson was absent from the city at the time of this meeting, but through I. M. Sulzbacher the group was invited to meet in the Dartmouth Room of his home on October 14. Nine of 11s gathered there and a most enjoyable, if delayed, Dartmouth Night celebration was had. Leßoy was the perfect host and everyone had a grand time. We welcomed a newcomer, Prof. Julius A. Brown '02.

On Friday, October 28, we held our initial weekly meeting of the informal Dartmouth Luncheon Club. Anyone passing through Jacksonville is invited to join us any Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Hotel Seminole. We are anxious to reach all alumni who have re- cently moved to Jacksonville. Please contact LeRoy Johnson at his office in the Barnett Bank Building, so that we may add your name to our growing list.
