Reginald H. Cooley attended the technical committee meeting of the American Society of Testing and Materials held at Madison, Wis., Sept. 21-24 and that of the American Wood Preservers Association held in New Orleans, La., on October 12-17.

Edgar S. Chappelear, 40 West Elm St., Greenwich, Conn. 06830 was confined in the Leßoy Hospital, N.Y.C. from June 3 to July 22 during which time he underwent three major operations on which laboratory tests proved negative. He has made a good recovery and is able to travel about some.

Ogden and Frances Brown celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary on November 9. Their home is Apt. A-223, 3860 Rodman St., Washington, D.C. 20016.

Thomas A. Fardy is residing at the Marion Manor, Taunton, Mass.

Leroy M. Richardson, Box 103, Auburn, Me. 04210 reports that his joints are a little stiff mornings but loosen up with exercise and that he is getting used to angina pectoris which has bothered him the past seven years.

Dean Francis H. Bird reporting on his summer European tour says that he enjoyed visits with former students in Wales and England and then took an interesting cruise from Bergen, Norway to the countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Poland, and Denmark through the Kiel Canal in Western Germany to the Tilbury Docks in London.

Mrs. Edward C. Ford, Jo to us, has completed a busy season as hostess at the Winslow House (a historic house) in Marshfield, Mass. The Marshfield Historical Society has moved Daniel Webster's law office building onto the property and is restoring it. Ned was active in the Winslow House Association and the Historical Society being president of both for many decades.

The Third Century campaign has reached the point where 1909 members are being personally solicited. May each one do his best in this last appeal.
