The only formal activity by Coach Michael's charges as this corner goes to press was a victory over Wesleyan in the opening meet by the score of 44-31. Other contests follow thick and fast throughout January and February, but this is the only one scheduled to date. With Captain Dana Jackson swimming the backstroke, Frank Bruch the breaststroke, and Chuck Ryan the freestyle legs, Dartmouth won the opening event, the 150-yard medley relay. Sophomore Jock Mclntyre won the 220-yard freestyle and thereby celebrated his varsity debut handily. Shortly afterward, he won the 100-yard freestyle. Steve Pollak won the 50-yard freestyle, after which the Green dropped the dive, backstroke, breaststroke, and 440-yard freestyle. The final event, the 400-yard freestyle, saw Dartmouth's team of Chuck Ryan, Blaine Boyden, Steve Pollak, and Jock Mclntyre (swimming his third race of the day) win and thus decide the meet victory for the Green.
