This issue is devoted to the Alumni Fund, so it's only fitting to start with a plea for all '31 to get behind our Class Agent Stud Studwell and make his first year at the job as successful and easy as possible.
We were dumbfounded to hear of the tragic death of Rand Rodgers in an automobile accident on December 12. Gray Magee thoughtfully forwarded the newspaper clippings.
Last month's column carried the names of the members of the class who are holding office in Dartmouth alumni organizations throughout the country. This month we want 'to give recognition and all credit to those who devote so much time to interviewing candidates for admission to Dartmouth. Bill Marsh is Alumni Councillor for the entire region of the Southeastern States. Walt Douglas is Alumni Councillor for all of Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Arizona. Others who are carrying on the good work are: JimGodfrey, Ken Sampson, Beanie Thorn, AINoyes, Art Kyle, Vic Rockhill, Doug Woodring, Charles McAllister, Hawley Jaquith, BobOelman, Bob Holland, Charlie Briggs, and Jack MacKechnie. Since these '31ers head up the committees in their localities they undoubtedly have other classmates working with them who deserve like recognition.
Dr. Eric and Mrs. Wollaeger, from Rochester, Minn., spent a few days in Hanover in November. Larry Tucker has been made manager of the recently formed Cincinnati Community Development Co., a housing project. The Tuckers live at 11 Avenell Lane, Greenhills, Ohio. Charlie Briggs has been appointed vice president and trust officer of the County Trust Company.
It was good to hear from Chuck and ConnieO'Neill in Westport, Conn, and to know that Dennis Rockwell O'Neill had joined his brother, Bracken, on December 13. GordonDerby is a representative for Commerce Clearing House, Inc. and living in Indianapolis, Ind., Jack Frisby is living at 13 Flint Lane, Levittown, L. I., N. Y. Mort Klein has moved to Pearl Hill Road, Fitchburg, Mass. GeorgeMiller is with the Security Mutual Life Insurance Company, Binghamton, N. Y. Prof. Charlie Prouty is in the Department of English at Yale. Dick Sankey has the new address of 735 Rosecrans, San Diego 6, Calif. Dr. EdSutton is now at 2105 Halsted Rd., Rockford, Ill. and Adolph Mertens is at 25 East Bth St., Erie, Pennsylvania.
Shep Wolff writes that he met Bill Light in Providence. Shep and Harriette get into the north country quite often these days since young Shep, aged 16 plus, is a Junior at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden where he played football with Dick Chase's nephew. Swede Oberlander's boy.
Spence Cram writes from Cleveland Heights, Ohio: "I have two girls and two boys behind me now in that order. Bill Steck no longer has claim to distinction in that respect." JohnBenson checks in from the National Shawmut Bank in Boston with the hope that he will have seen the Green in action a few times. Jack Warwick ran into Doug Woodring not too long ago, and reports little change other than it "seems that we only get balder and fatter." Howie Holman wants to hear from Rod Greig, Bob Dilley, or any of the class out San Francisco way.
Bill and Harriet Woodruff are living at 14 West Virginia St., Chevy Chase, Md. They have two daughters, Anna and Helen. Bill is public relations director for the Associated General Contractors of America. He speaks of seeing Ed Mecutchen once in a while. Amber writes that Ed Elmer is back on active duty with the Navy. Buck Carvalho is with the American International Underwriters, 111 John St., New York. Sid Rubin returned to New York in August from Korea, having put in twenty three months there with the Military Government.

Consulate at Geneva, Switzerland, and Harry Townsend, Executive Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil, Caixa Postal 916, Rio de Janeiro. Parker Pierce is a Sanitarian for the American Institute of Baking and living at the Montrose Beach Hotel, 925 w. Montrose Ave., Chicago. Dave Bender's new address is Rt. 1, Box 1182, Los Gatos, Calif., Henry Galley's, 326 Hillcrest, Hinsdale, Ill., and Ned Kent's, Apt. A, 189 Union St., Attleboro, Mass. Ed Stokes is a Lincoln-Mercury District Manager with his office in the Statler Building, Boston. Hal Radin is living in Los Angeles, Calif, at 11333 Thurston Place.
