Mrs. Frank E. Allard died January 7, 1949 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwin M. Brooks, Oxford, O. She was born in Norwich, Vt., and lived there until her marriage in 1888. During the years immediately following she was a real helpmeet to Allard as he undertook the study of medicine and at the same time was obliged to earn a living. This he did by teaching in evening schools in the vicinity of Boston. After Dr. Allard's death in 1917, Mrs. Allard made her home with her son-inlaw and daughter in Wellesley, later moving to Oxford with Mrs. Brooks, who is Professor of History of Religion in Western College. She granddaughter, Eleanor Robinson Brooks, editor of the house organ and an assistant in public relations for Bristol Laboratories, Inc., Syracuse, N. Y.; and a grandson, Frank Allard Brooks, at present a junior in Amherst College.
Plans are in preparation for the annual Dartmouth dinner on March 4, the date when Professor Hill of the College is expected to be in St. Petersburg.
ALFRED WATSON '83 with Mrs. Watson, who died last October 13. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last July.
