The big news last month was the Class Dinner held at the New York Dartmouth Club on Wednesday, March 23. The Committee of DonMcCall, Joe Russakoff and Tom Hession are deserving of much credit for the wonderful turnout and the very enjoyable evening. There were almost sixty members present, many of whom we hadn't seen in over twenty years. This incidentally is the largest class gathering ever held outside of Hanover and represents even a larger number than we have had at some reunions. Those present included TomHession, Ken Murray, H. B. Harris, Jack Jones,Red Cleveland down from Torrington, HankMurray, Roy Dreher, Don McCall, Ken Ballan-tyne, Ross Nichols, Ed Fry, Jack Draper, BillWilliams, Ken Meyercord, Reg Vincent, AsherMargolies, Norm Swift, Stu Ensinger, JackKennedy, Charlie Fleischer, Gus Cummings,Ed Marston, Don O'Hara, Ned Dwyer, AILegacy, Eddy Webb, Bill Ward, Carl Porter,Guy Bostwick, Seth Besse, Bunny Smith, RogBury, Nat Morey, Frank Cloran, Joe Russakoff,Tom Gillespie, Ted Girault, Herb Howe, JohnShaw, Rudy Preuss, Al Welty, Sam Wormser,Orrie Herwitz, Gene Sullivan, Sid Voice, JohnGreener, Bob Long, Bill St. Amant, Phil Fow-ler, Fritz Kortlucke, Bill Prescott and your Sec- retary.

Nat Morey came all the way down from Buffalo and proved that he was still familiar with the piano keys. He recently has received a promotion with his company, Ralston-Purina, which will take him to their main plant in Bloomington, 111. in the near future.

Josh Davis was the master of ceremonies during the dinner and called for brief talks from John Shaw, president of the Long Island Alumni Association, Ken Murray, who along with Don McCall is heading up the Alumni Fund in the New York area, your treasurer, Gus, and your secretary.

The New York Herald Tribune of March 13 carries a picture of the very attractive Miss Elizabeth H. Fuller and announces her engagement to the Rev. Richard P. Carter of Suffield, Conn. Nick is at present minister of the First Church of Christ, Suffield, and is a trustee of the Deering Foundation, Suffield Academy and the Seamen's Friends Society. He is a member of the University and Dartmouth Clubs of Hartford and the American Association of University Professors. During the war he was a Chaplain in the Navy.

We had a nice letter from Kermit Ingham informing us that his son, Kermit 8., is now a member of the Class of 1952 at Hanover. Kermit, Sr. made his first trip back to Hanover since graduation last fall when he went up to enroll his son. He is still located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, operating Kermit W. Ingham Lumber Company with yards in Stillwater and Yale. He reports seeing liroggy Krogstad and recently had lunch with Dick Simpson who is still in the oil business in Tulsa.

Judge Larry Duncan of the Supreme Court of New Hampshire has been selected as one of. three eminent judges, one of the others being the Chief Justice of Ohio, to judge the final argument this month in the Ames Competition at the Harvard Law School.

Russ Blanchard is in the quarry business in Uxbridge, Mass.

On Tuesday, April 5, we had a class dinner here in Boston with the following in attendance: Ding Heap, Rog Salinger, Shorty Oliver,Jay Willing, Ed Batchelder, Ethan Hitchcock,Gus Cummings, John Gardner, Coggy Broer,Paul O'Connell, Russ Weston, Bill Prescott,Charlie Paddock, Bob Williamson, Hal Low and your secretary.

John Gardner, who is attending an advance course at the Harvard Business School, the same one Gus Cummings is attending, looked the same as he did twenty-odd years ago. John works in New York where he is Manager of Industrial Relations for the American Can Company.

Russ Weston drove all the way from Providence for the meeting. He is still president of a mutual casualty insurance company in that city.

Paul O'Connell came down from Worcester and was very happy to find Russ Weston present, it being the first time they had seen each other since graduation. Paul is busy practicing law in Worcester and among other interests is trustee of the state hospital in that city and is also a member of the Massachusetts Golf Association Caddie Committee.

Coggy Broer was in town attending a jewelers' convention and remained over not only for the class dinner, but the class agents' dinner held on April 7. Coggy has done a grand job on organizing work and has been particularly thrilled by the fine response he has had from the people he has asked to act as assistant agents. 1927 has a real job to do this year, but with Coggy's splendid organizing and enthusiasm, we are confident that we will have one of the best years ever.

A note from Dick Lougee informs us that he recently had dinner with Russ Blanchard and Paul O'Connell. He also sees Huck Norris frequently as they both live in Grafton.

Marsh McGough was in town today on business and we had a nice chat on the phone. He has moved his family from Chicago to Washington, Pa., and is now living at 14 Sherman Avenue.

Charlie Paddock announces the birth of a daughter, Jane Elizabeth, on December 2, 1948. He also informs me that on October 22, 1948 they adopted a baby boy, David Breck Paddock. Charlie is working as an accountant for Charles Rittenhouse Company in Boston.

Don Gardner is working in the advertising business with Henry H. Loudon Company in the Statler Building in Boston.

Let's give our Class Agent and his assistants a big boost by getting those contributions in early.
