A PROGRESS REPORT on the 1949 Alumni Fund issued May 13 showed that the campaign was slightly ahead in number of contributors and behind in total dollars contributed as compared with the corresponding point in last year's campaign. As of that date 5,227 contributors had given $153,125, compared with 5,203 gifts totalling $159,283 on May 13 a year ago. The class agents and their assistants still hope to surpass last year's record of 13,628ggitsfts aggregating 1381,949 by the time the pres. ent campaign ends June 30.

In the Green Derby contest, Class Agent Hardy S. Ferguson 'B9 led the veteran classes on May 13, followed by Clifton $ Humphreys '9O. In Group I Richard Ward 'Ol was unchallenged in first place, while Morton B. French 'O3 had edged Philip JJ Winchester '99 out of second place. Other leaders were Marvin L. Frederick V Group II; Roscoe Hayes 'l9, Group lij. George B. Redding '29, Group IV; Lewis K. Johnstone '4l, Group V; and Nichol M. Sandoe Jr. '45, Little Green Derby.
