Another coming revival at Dartmouth this year is that of the Barrett Cup which has not been awarded since 1942. Here again the conditions of the award have been reviewed by a special committee including representatives from the Undergraduate Council. The senior who receives the Barrett Cup at Wet Down next spring will be selected by vote of the faculty as well as of the undergraduates. He must have a 3.0 average for the whole of junior year and the first semester of senior year and must have an unblemished record so far as disciplinary action by the College is concerned. The primary conditions of the award remain unchanged, namely that the gold medal made possible by John Barrett 'B9 go to the senior chosen as showing "the greatest promise of becoming a factor in the outside world through his strength of character and qualities of leadership, record of scholarship and broad achievement, and his influence among his fellows."

The last winner of the Barrett Cup was Charles M. "Stubby" Pearson '42, who gave his life in World War 11. The very first winner 35 years ' ago was Paul W. Loudon '14. Between these two came 27 others, whose names will bring back memories of Barrett Cup elections over the years: Charles E. Griffith '15, Chester A. Pudrith '16, Robert G. Paine '17, Harvey P. Hood '18, Percy A. Grey '19, Jackson L. Cannell '20, Frank A. Rose '21, John P. Carleton '22, Donald R. Moore '23, Arthur N. Thurston '24, Laurence G. Leavitt '25, Nathan K. Parker '26, Charles W.
