A scholarship fund in memory of the late George Margulis '35 of Cleveland was presented to the College in June on the occasion of the 15th reunion of his class. The family and friends of Margulis who established the memorial plan to make it eventually a full-tuition scholarship, for which preference will be given to boys of Cleveland and northern Ohio.

Margulis was fatally shot by payroll robbers in 1948. At that time he was secretary of the Reliable Steel Plate Company of Cleveland.

A graduate of Tuck School as well as of the College, Margulis was a Rufus Choate Scholar and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in his junior year. He was graduated fifth in a class of 503 men and received his Bachelor's degree summa cum laude.
