Your Secretary recently read an article in a national magazine concerning Talladega Coll ege, an institution for the education of Negro youth located in Alabama. The write-up showed pictures of the college grounds, buildings and groups of students. It also stated that Talladega College offers a very high standard of instruction for institutes of its kind and that its growth over the years has been truly remarkable. Our classmate CharlesJacquith, before his retirement, was head of the English Department at Talladega for 22 years. He must derive a great deal of satisfaction from the success of this institution in which he was active for a long time. Since retirement Jake has been living at Union Village, Vt. This fall he moved to Norwich, Vt. and mail should be sent him in care of Gary W. Waterman.
