That's about all the news from Dayton except that we're all looking forward to and making plans for the Dartmouth-Michigan game at Ann Arbor next fall.

The Dayton Association is having a good active year and the Big Green spirit out this way is excellent. Monthly luncheons have been well attended (incidentally, we would be happy to welcome any out-of-town Dartmouths at these gatherings on the third Saturday of each month at 12:15 at the Biltmore Hotel) and other affairs under the guidance of Program Chairman Dick Stowe '27 have been very successful.

The season got started with a September picnic at the country home of Wib Kennedy 27 with about 18 couples in attendance. The November and December luncheons were replaced by two other annual affairs. In November we gathered again with the Cornell alumni to hear the Dartmouth-Cornell grid clash, we outnumbering them about 30 to 20. This year, rather than a telegraphic replay, we had a tieup with the Chicago and Indianapolis Clubs to bring in a direct broadcast from Hanover. The affair was held at the Van Cleve Hotel and was preceded by a luncheon. The Cornells were quite cocky in pre-game betting and the wagering Dartmouths in the crowd went home richer than they came. DanMitchell '37, "the Bicycle King," in particular did a lot of work on this affair. A new face appeared in the person of Nort Virgien '46 who is now with Station WIZE in Springfield, Ohio.

On Dec. 29 we gathered with wives at The Willows, south of Dayton, for our annual "woolshirt" holiday party. A local magician, J. R. Kuntz, had the crowd in stitches for half an hour to start off the program and then Bob Austin Jr. '52 gave us a short talk about present-day college life, the football team, etc. The rest of the evening was taken up by songs, dancing and plenty of reminiscing. A midnite snack, thanks to Dick andKay Stowe '27, ended the frivolity.
