PRESIDENT DICKEY'S appearance as guest speaker at the annual dinner of Boston alumni on March 1 leads the series of talks by visitors from the College to alumni clubs during March. Besides President Dickey, guests at Boston were Coach Tuss McLaughry, Paul R. Staley '51, football captain, and the Glee Club Octet, who attended the dinner at the Copley Plaza.
Scheduled to speak jointly, Coach McLaughry and William A. McCarter '19, Director of Athletics, will go to the Dartmouth Club of Northern New Jersey on March 27, in West Orange; and to the Dartmouth Club of Westchester County, in Rye, N. Y., on March 29.
Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, will travel to the Great Divide to meet with the Dartmouth alumni of Denver, at a dinner to be given in his honor on March 28 at the University Club. In Omaha on March 30, he will bring recent news of the College to the Association of the Dartmouth Alumni of the Plains; and the following night he is scheduled to speak at a meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of lowa in Des Moines.
Alumni, always interested in hearing about the entering classes at Dartmouth, will have a first-hand report from Stearns Morse, Dean of Freshmen, who will visit the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Delaware in Wilmington, on March 28. Richard W. Morin '24, Executive Officer of the College, is on the dinner program for the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland, and will be their guest March 29. On March 31 he will address the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Dayton, at Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to a talk before the Dartmouth Club of Central New York at Syracuse on March go, Allen R. Foley 'so, Professor of History, will address the Dartmouth Club of Rochester on March 31. Roger S. Brown '45, Assistant to the Secretary of the College, will be the second speaker on this occasion, having been scheduled also to meet with the Dartmouth Club of the Mohawk Valley in Utica on March 29.
