THE Dartmouth Alumni Council, holding its annual mid-year meeting in Hanover, January 20-21, covered a wide range of College and alumni affairs during its two-day session. Sidney J. Flanigan '23 of New York, president of the Council, presided at the regular business sessions and at the informal program Friday evening when President Dickey and Prof. Allen R. Foley '2O addressed the members and their wives.

Following the showing Friday evening of the latest Dartmouth movie, Dartmouth Out Doors, and the new Princeton film, the Council on Saturday discussed the College's film program for alumni and schools. Steps to develop the program were urged by the Council and a special committee was created to make a study and recommendations. The committee membership, announced by Mr. Flanigan, includes Orton H. Hicks '21, chairman, Charles A. Palmer '23, Charles B. Rice '23, John F. Reeder '25, Maurice Rapf '35, Donald C. McKinlay '37, and Robert L. Allen '45, representing the Secretary's Office and the Public Relations Council of the College.

Council discussions were led by the following: Class Organization, Osmun Skinner '28, chairman; Class Memorial Funds, Wilbur W. Bullen '22, chairman; Alumni Fund, George H. Col ton '35, executive secretary; Vocational Program, Donald W. Cameron '35, associate in placement; Parents Program, Charles B. Rice '23, chairman; Admissions and Schools, H. Clifford Bean '16, chairman: Alumni Clubs, Donaid G. Mix 'si, chairman; Athletics. Nathan K. Parker '26, DCAC representative on the Council; and Bequests, Mr. Mix, John F. Meek '33, College treasurer, and Roger S. Brown '45 of the Secretary's Office.

Sigurd S. Larmon '14, chairman of the Dartmouth Development Council, spoke on the new development program; and Mr. Bean, as chairman, discussed the work of, the Special Committee on Enrollment appointed jointly by the Council and the Secretaries Association last spring to study the question of attracting top boys from secondary schools on a wider national basis.
