At the Annual Meeting, March 29, the following were elected officers for 1950-51: J.Richard Loughry '34, President; Frank G.Heath '34, Vice-president; Albert Hutton '41, Louis E. Weitz '35, Secretary; Keith Benson '40, Asst. Secretary; Edmund J.Sprankle '30, Treasurer; and Tom Allen '36, Asst. Treasurer.
Following the usual club custom, the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland on April 19 had an informal dinner for those applicants accepted by the College for admission in September. The dinner was held at the Union Club, and the following members acted as hosts for our 28 guests: Eb Cockley '40, Jim Chandler '27, Maury Cogan '28, Al Hutton '41, Dick Loughry '34 Hal Newell '41, Bud Petrequin '25, Bob Reading '25, Scotty Rogers '40, Howie Schuemann '33, Ed Sprankle '30, and Louis Weitz '35. Jack Childs '09 acted as master of ceremonies and did his usual outstanding job. BillMorgan '29, of New York City, was our guest at the dinner, and it was a pleasure to welcome him during his visit in Cleveland. The planned hockey party for the potential freshmen failed to materialize when the local hockey team fell apart in the play-offs.
Dr. Robert M. Stecher '19 was recently elected president of the Cleveland Health Museum. It is an honor that Bob richly deserves and the club shares in the public recognition given to him, locally, nationally and internationally.
Warren Crumbine '37 was recently pro- moted by his employer, National City Bank of Cleveland. Warren is now the manager of one of its branch offices.
Cleveland is about to lose one of its more active members. H. L. (Red) Flynn '29 has been elected a vice-president and personal trust officer of The Farmers Deposit National Bank of Pittsburgh. Red has been an assistant vice-president of The Cleveland Trust Co., in charge of its estate planning division. With him Red will take the good wishes of all the members.
