The exciting news that the 1950 Alumni Fund had exceeded its $400,000 objective was received as this issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE went to press. With final figures still to be determined, it appears that the total will be about $412,000, a result of vital importance to the College. Again a tremendous number of alumni participated in the annual campaign and a final contributor count of over 14,900 seems likely.
The result marks the twelfth consecutive year in which the Fund has exceeded its assigned quota and the third in which it has grown in total dollars. The 1950 Fund will top its objective by about $12,000 and surpass the 1949 total by more than $25,000. Once again the total is second only to the special 1946 Fund which produced $416,677. The contributor figure will surpass last year's record by about 400.
