The time of our reunion has been fixed by the College as June 6-7-8 along with '87, '97, '02 and '07.
On October 13 a meeting of the Bequest Committee of the Dartmouth Development Council in Sanborn Hall was attended by about 30 representatives of classes out of College 25 years or more. Those who were in college in our time were Ralph Bartlett '89, Phil Marden '94 and Fred Cleaveland '95. The function of the Bequest Committee is to encourage members of these older classes to include in their wills bequests to the College. Three such bequests from our class are those of Charles Gould, Alex Salinger and Arthur Strong.
Had a good letter from Weston in October. While he and his sister, a retired Minneapolis High School teacher, were in North Adams visiting his daughter Beth who is Dean of the Teachers College in North Adams, his sister had the misfortune to fall and break her hip and on September 26 West followed his sister's example by falling down stairs. Luckily no bones were broken and West was home from the hospital in a week. He said he was getting around with crutches, making good progress and expected to be in good condition for our 60th reunion. He has had his share of tough luck, but he has not let anything get him down in spirit.
