In celebration of Dartmouth Night, members of the Dartmouth Club of Central Florida came together for a steak dinner and special program October 19 at the Magnolia Tea Room in Orlando. The singing of the old songs around the piano got everybody off to a good start as we made the echoes ring for Dartmouth in the approved lusty fashion. After refreshing and strengthening the inner man, a short business session was held to appoint Dick Plumer chairman of a committee to interview prospective students for Dartmouth with the class entering in the fall of 1952, and Reed Griffith and Dick Proctor to effect arrangements for hearing one of the major football games in November by special wire service direct from the field of play. Tribute was paid to the memory of the late Dr. A. W. Vernon '07h, who has been a loyal and enthusiastic member of our group through the years.

A warming and realistic touch was brought through the special Dartmouth Night recording furnished from Hanover, bringing us the messages of President Dickey and others. This was followed by the beautiful movie film, "Dartmouth Outdoors," to take us right back to Hanover and round out an evening long to be remembered by all present.

The head table was made beautiful by a huge bouquet of flowers contributed by Mrs. Frederick E. Godfrey of Orlando in memory of her father, George A. Brown '77, and her brother, Nelson P. Brown '99; and in honor of her brother, James B. Brown '07, and her son, James B. Godfrey '31. The affair was presided over by Vice-President Roger W. Holler.

Those present were: James W. Newton '86, Edwin O. Grover '94, Hamilton Gibson '97, Frank W. Halliday '01, H. D. King '05, Donald A. Cheney 'll, Richard C. Plumer '12, Norman E.
