Class Agent and President, JAMES W. NEWTON 456 E. New England Ave., Winter Park, Fla.
Ned Wardwell's sister Mrs. Jennie L. Hutchins is living in retirement at the age of 86 in the State sanitarium for T.B. patients at Glencliffe, N. H. Having recovered there from T.B., she remained for 30 years as an occupational therapist, and still helps with that work as she is able. Mrs. Hutchins is a most loyal "associate" member of '86, and contributes annually to the Memorial Fund in memory of Ned.
Another loyal family is that of Will Marden. His daughter Marguerite is the wife of Prof. Fitts of the State University at Durham, N. H. She has a warm spot in her heart for the '86 clan. The same is true of her brother William W. Marden 'n. They keep the name of our "Mard" in the memorial givers list.
We regret to hear that Mrs. Karl Goodwin is an arthritic sufferer in spite of treatments with ACTH. Their daughter Polly is juvenile editor of the Book Section of the ChicagoTribune. They still live in Evanston, Ill.
Harry Burley spent some time in December at Phillips House of the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, but returned to his home in Chestnut Hill, Mass., for Christmas Day, and reports that he is now feeling much better. The rest seems to have been what he needed to restore him to his usual good health.
Christmas greetings from Ned Ross gave the cheerful news that both Ned and his wife are as well as usual this winter. Their son Ralph Ross sent the secretary a Christmas greeting card especially designed to show their son and their four married daughters and seven grandchildren pretty evenly divided among them. Ned and Nellie are very proud of this group of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
For the second time, a Christmas Class Letter has been compiled and distributed among the 35 families of our original 70 graduates. The interest in the class is very strong among these people, many of whom are contributors to the Alumni Fund in memory of husbands or fathers. We hope that a number of these will join the little group of survivors at the 65th reunion of the Class in June.
