Toledo

The Dartmouth Club of Toledo held its annual Christmas luncheon at the Toledo Club on Wednesday, December 27. Fifty men braved the zero weather to attend this affair Which welcomes the undergraduates and prospective freshmen as their special guests.

Stan Newcomer '20, President of our Club, presided at the meeting. Carleton Broer '27, Chairman of the local scholarship fund, gave a report on the standing of the fund and proposed that as many as possible subscribe to a yearly pledge. It is felt that Toledo has made a very good initial start towards its scholarship goal, but that its ultimate objective can only be reached by repeated contributions on the part of all its members.

The latest information on the Hanover scene was ably presented by Milt Olander '51. Glenn Fitken '50 spoke to the undergraduates on what has happened in Toledo during the past year.

Stan M-auk '19, chairman of the nominating committee, read the recommendations of the committee and the following officers were elected for the coming year: Octavio Hecht '24—President; Edward J. Searles '39—Vice President; John T. Witte '46—Treasurer; and Robert E. Bogard '46—Secretary.
