Another very successful Dartmouth dinner was held February 2 at the Toledo Club with Sid Hayward, Secretary of the College, as our special guest. It was indeed a pleasure to have Sid with us to give a first-hand picture of Dartmouth and the problems which the administration has had to face. He also brought us up to date on the "Tribune Affair" and the Great Issues Course. Of particular interest was the stress he placed on the role which the alumni have taken in the college program and whose loyalty cannot be found in any other college in the country.

To add to our evening's entertainment, Fred Flickinger '23, as professor Lucius P. Higginbottom, presented an illustrated lecture on "Birds I Have Never Met".

Bill Russell '39 reported that all the prospective freshmen have been interviewed and their forms forwarded.

The question of establishing a scholarship fund was discussed and Stanley Mauk '19, Carleton Broer '27 and Glenti Fitkin, father of undergraduates Harold and Glenn, were appointed as a committee to look into this matter.

We enjoyed having Roger Graves '37 with us again. Rog is now with the Detroit office of Bethlehem Steel Corp.

A newcomer to our Club is Bill Watson '38 who was transferred here from the Youngstown office of the General Motors Finance Corp.
