The Association was honored to have President Dickey and Treasurer John Meek as our guests from Hanover at the Hanover Holiday held in the Twin Cities on February 1. John Meck's remarks about financial problems at the luncheon were both interesting and constructive. President Dickey entertained the guests at the annual meeting with a number of delightful vignettes portraying Hanover. He also discussed the serious problems of the College which have arisen out of the mobilization and the national crisis.

The ladies were invited to the annual meeting, and it was the most successful such gathering in the memory of our oldest alumnus. All of us are looking forward to more occasions when the ladies are present.

One of the highlights of the Holiday occurred when John Faegre '33 presented President Dickey with $1,000 to be added to the Vaughn Northwest Area Memorial Fund—but more about this in a future bulletin.

The Association elected Phil Troy '30 of the Golden Rule, President; Bob Krieger '41, Vice-President; Lyman Wakefield '33, Treasurer; and your scribe as Secretary. Phil has promised lots of activity for the coming year, including a Square Dance to be held the latter part of April, the traditional Stag Picnic in June, and a second Annual Coed Picnic in September.

The engagement of Joe Vancisni '44 to Elizabeth Ann Butler of Ames, lowa, was announced recently. We understand the wedding will take place this spring.
