Certainly the best Christmas present for 1977 arrived just a bit early at the home of the BrockSaxes in New Canaan, Conn., when Barbara gave birth on December 20 to Kevin Barrett Saxe. Their new boy weighed in at nine lbs. five oz. — obviously very healthy. This is their fourth son.
Brock has now caught up with Woody Bradford and Gary Spiess. Both these families also have four boys. Woody is an attorney in Omaha, Neb. Gary is also an attorney, and is vice president and association counsel at The First National Bank of Boston. He and his family have made their home in Marblehead, Mass.
In calling Brock to congratulate him on his new son, he was able to bring me up to date on the following people: Robbie Sayre and his family are living in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Robbie works for Pillsbury in the personnel field, particularly with regard to scientific and research people. Bill Marx and his family now reside in Virginia Beach. He is a lawyer with General Electric in their televisionset division.
Mike Jackson, his wife Judy, and children Patrick and Emily, reside during the week in New York City, but I understand many of their weekends are spent in their country home in Washington, Conn. Mike is still with Lehman Bros.
Phil Lawler and his family are living in Encinitas, Calif. Phil is with Rohr Corporation. Lastly, Ernie Weymuller is preparing to leave his medical practice in the Boston area for a move to Seattle, where he is taking on a teaching position at the University of Washington Medical School.
Congratulations are extended to Bruce M. Keller, director of Keller Companies Inc., who has recently been elected a director of The Manchester Bank, in Manchester, N.H. Bruce resides at 150 Milford Street in Manchester with his wife Cynthia and their two daughters.

Since 1973, he has been a vice president of New England Power Service Co.
With tax time approaching we pass on the good word that Richard Johnston King of Warren has been appointed deputy commissioner of taxes, effective October 3, last year. Dick practiced law in New York City for a number of years before settling in Vermont in 1975. For the past two years he has been the assistant attorney general assigned to the Department of Taxes with primary responsibility for all litigation involving state taxes.
Adventurous travellers looking for something really out of the ordinary might like to get in touch with Sandy and Anne Apgar, at 5 Highbury Terrace, London N5 1 UP, England. They are looking, towards getting together a group of friends to join them in a private East African Safari, One of the most intriguing possibilities, Anne has written us, goes as follows: "... we favor a ten-day 'luxury tented safari' covering the Masai Mara, Meru, Tsavo and Safari Club, and the Iron Snake, accompanied by a professional guide, which sounds like a very special experience." Anne adds that Abercombie & Kent, which organizes individual safaris, indicated that such a trip would be more economical for a group — and more fun!
Barbara and I were in New Orleans for the Super Bowl. While there we called Henry Sarpy and were advised by his wife Frannie that he had taken off duck hunting, so we were unable to get together. Frannie did tell us that Brockand Barbara Saxe will be visiting them for Mardi Gras.
Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to mention the Campaign for Dartmouth which is attempting to raise $160,000,000 over the next five years. Please remember that all amounts given to the Alumni Fund will also be credited against this capital campaign.
