The outstanding Dartmouth event of the season took place on April 6 at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts Assembly. The attraction was the Dartmouth College Glee Club and, believe me, the visit will be long remembered by all who attended. Here is a first-class college glee club —no question about it. The quality of the boys' singing and their adeptness at programing was such that in our opinion they should not take a back seat to any similar group in the country. In addition, the Glee Club consists of a fine group of boys and it was a pleasure to make their acquaintance. The leader Paul Zeller deserves the "lion's share" of the credit for the musical success of the concert.

Having the Glee Club in Minneapolis was a terrific strengthener for the local Association, and if active alumni from other areas are listening, we recommend you engage the Glee Club at your earliest opportunity. Financially, the venture proved a success, and credit for this goes to a fine committee under JohnKelley '41, general chairman, and Bob Krieger '41, ticket chairman. Close to 600 people attended the concert, and after all bills are paid there should be $200 or more profit. This money goes to the College, and at the request of the executive committee, it will be "earmarked" for the Vaughan Memorial Scholarship Fund which is directed so ably by JohnFaegre Jr. '33.

Rochester, Minn., held a similar concert on April 5 in the Mayo Civic Auditorium which was equally successful; thanks to the efforts of such people as George Sayre '34, Bill Harwick '35, Steve Mills '27, and Roy Watson Jr.

The sad news of the month was the loss by heart-attack of Eddie Lynch '23, well-known athlete and coach, and also well known in local investment circles. Eddie was a man of many friends, noted for his competitive spirit and for his devotion to Dartmouth. A memorial gift was made in his memory by the Northwest Alumni Association to the Vaughan Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The annual stag picnic is scheduled for June 25, at Henry Thrall's farm. Baseball will get under way about 4:00 P.M. and TomWarner '50, chairman of the arrangements has promised large quantities of beer and food, as usual. See you there, for sure!
