Wallace Blakey '30, the only child of our Blakey, writes that his mother passed away at the end of February. Her name before marriage was Dula Zuba Wallace and Blakey's was John Mawson Blakey, but in Dartmouth he was known as quiet and popular "Dave" Blakey. They were married in 1899. That was the year that "Dave" began his long service with the Second National Bank of Nashua, N. H. Without change of residence or "Dave's" place of business they lived happily together for forty years. For ten years since "Dave's" death Mrs. B. has continued to live at the same homestead. Some of us used to stop at the Blakeys' for a call on our way to or from Hanover at Commencement times. They were a sincere, loving couple.

F. B. S. If members of our class get tired of reading stuff about myself, I suggest that they send in some stuff about themselves. This time I am willing to tell about a new honor that has come to me. I wear a gold-plated pin in the buttonhole of my coat lapel. It represents the citation that is on a framed scroll displayed in my office; it gives to me Life Membership on the Advisory Board of the Cambridge Salvation Army and was bestowed "in recognition of outstanding service." I am proud to have the scroll and wear the pin, but I realize that my classmates might justly say, "You never did much."
