Ed Warnke's home in Lynbrook was the locale for the November executive meeting of the Long Island Association. One newcomer to our group was Eddie Reece '28, who used to weave his way through the opposing backfield at a pretty fast clip. He still looks in good physical trim and no doubt has given a few pointers to his son, who is a promising athlete at Baldwin High.

A major portion of the meeting was devoted to a discussion of enrollment activities and also ways and means of bolstering our depleted bank account. Fund-raising will be given a shot in the arm when the basketball team comes to Long Island to play Hofstra College on March 6, 1953. Ed Warnke has charge of preparing the printed program again this year. This project in past years has proved to be a major source of income for our scholarship fund.

Jack Coulson '39 reported that he and Warren Kreter '42 had represented the College at a college-choosing night at Southside High School in Rockville Centre last week, and had spoken to an enthusiastic group of students. Your secretary performed the same function at the Seacliff High School on October 22 when students from Roslyn, Seacliff, Glen Cove, and Oyster Bay assembled to hear the pros and cons of college life. Before the meeting got under way we were reminded of conditions under which Daniel Webster must have studied. Due to an electric power failure the school was plunged into darkness until a few old-fashioned lanterns could be provided.
