There was such a good turn-out at our last executive meeting at the home of Ed Warnke '19 that the walls of the house practically bulged. This occurred despite the fact that Ed had just completed major alterations to his home, particularly an enlargement to the kitchen, just to accommodate our raids on the ice box.

A newcomer to our group, Bob Alden '49, joined us for the evening. He is now associated with the Pittsburg Plate Glass Co., in Mineola.

The major topic for the evening consisted of plans for the Glee Club concert and dance to be held at the New York City Center, 131 West 55 St., New York City, on April 5.

Both the Long Island Association and the New York Club are collaborating in staging the affair. Our group will concentrate on publishing the program for the concert. Ed Warnke exhibited a sample format and distributed a supply of advertising contracts. Since all profits from the affair will accrue to the scholarship fund, it is hoped that this project will be well supported.

Herm Goodman '32 reported that our program chairman, Al Marks '34, had been taken suddenly ill while en route to Hanover for the Christmas holidays and was recuperating at Dick's House. As of this writing, he has been released from the hospital and is making a good recovery. We hope to have him back with us soon to continue direction of plans for the Glee Club concert. In the meantime Herm Goodman agreed to carry on with Al's duties.

Guy Bostwick '27 reported exploratory progress for arranging a late spring or early summer clambake. A waterfront property near Northport appears to be the ideal location.

Wally Rushmore '32, chairman of the Interviewing Committee reported 173 applications have been received to date and 125 of these have already been processed. There ap- pear to be many outstanding candidates among the early returns.

Jim Higgins '35 .suggested that all under- graduates from Long Island be placed on our mailing list and that they receive notices of all Long Island activities. This was unan- imously agreed upon.

Ed Warnke 'l9, as Chairman of our Basket- ball Committee, is still hopeful of arranging a game with Hofstra College next year. Three possible dates appear to be open. Final se- lection will await further correspondence with Bill McCarter 'l9 in Hanover.

Our plan for inaugurating life member- ships got off to a flying start, with Ed Schus-ter '3O having the distinction of submitting application Number one. A specially designed life membership card was promptly mailed to him.
