Since the last reporting, the Lakes Region Club has held two well attended meetings. At our Dartmouth Night gathering, Prof.Chauncey Allen '24 brought us the greetings of the College after a fine dinner at the Arl- berg Inn.
More recently, a group of 23 gathered at the Laconia Tavern on February 12 for dinner and a look at the famed pictures of the Dartmouth-Princeton game. Coach John Dell Isola was with us to give the running commentary which enabled us to see many of the interesting details that might otherwise have passed unnoticed. Football interest has been high here this past season with the La- conia team winning the State Class B title under its new coach, Joe Cottone '39. Ably assisting him was another club member, Clarence Brazil '26.
Interviewing committees in Laconia and Tilton working under Ed Brazil '30 and Chet McClintock '24 report having talked to a fine group of applicants and it appears that there is a good possibility of adding to our five-man delegation already in Hanover.
Next meeting will be a family picnic, probably in late May, and probably at the Belknap Mountain Area in Gilford unless some alumnus with a camp on one of our many nearby lakes risks all, and extends an invitation.
New officers elected in October were: President, Gil Lowery '30; Ed Brazil '30, the veepj and Steve J ewe 11 '40 as custodian of our almost non-existent treasury. The previous secretary has not been allowed to fade away and continues in office.
