By and large, this column is addressed to those who will be in Hanover for the Reunion June 13, 14 and 15. We already have over 80 signed Reunioners (and, in most cases, their wives and a few scattered children) so a good estimate of the total returnees would be in the neighborhood of 125 men and 110 women. That should give us one of the slam-bangest get-togethers '3iers ever had.

All plans aren't complete yet but here's the way the Reunion program looks from this distance. We'll get in town sometime Friday, the 13th, and will check into whatever room has been assigned you in whatever dormitory has been assigned to the class. We don't know what that dormitory is going to be because the College doesn't decide until they know how many Reunioners must be accommodated for each class. When we get that information, we'll pass it along to you pronto. Anyway ... there you are in the dormitory and just as soon as possible you'll want to get down to the big tent, which will be pitched in front of the door because that's where everybody will be gathering for the let's-get-acquainted-again sessions. Your Reunion paraphernalia will be handed out (more about that later on in the column) so that you should be pretty well set- tled in time for the first "official" event, which is the cocktail party in the tent. That shindig will start sometime in mid-afternoon and will continue until time for the Presidents' Re- ception which is scheduled for 8:45 P.M. At first, we thought of organizing a dinner for everybody on Friday evening but the consen- sus among everybody we talked to was that you'd all rather have it in a more or less catch- as-catch-can form so that there wouldn't be too much scurrying around to get lined up for organized events. Therefore, we'll arrange to have some kind of grub available in the tent (maybe a ham, or a turkey, salad, etc.) so everybody can nibble to his heart's content without going through that travail finding a place to grab a bite in town.

It would be a good idea to wear your Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes for the Presidents' Reception and the Alumni dance that follows immediately after it. No part of the Reunion schedule calls for putting on the soup and fish but I should think your missus would be a little happier if she could doll up a little bit for both the Reception and the dance. Following the dance, there will be some kind of roundelay in the tent... as a matter of fact, there'll undoubtedly be something going on in the tent any hour of any day or night. Saturday morning is left open for early golf, gallivanting, recovering from Friday night or anything else your little heart desires. At 11:15 A.M. we'll gather wherever bleachers have been erected to have the class picture taken. Then, at noon, everybody gathers downstairs in the gymnasium for the Alumni Luncheon to be followed immediately by the Alumni Meeting upstairs in the gym. Following this, your time is your own for the rest of the day. There'll probably be plenty of threesomes looking for an available duffer; there'll undoubtedly be a ball game on Campus; if the weather's right, there'll be swimming parties making up .. . and between now and then, we'll undoubtedly get something set up for mass activity, co-educational or otherwise. Incidentally, all the wives are invited to the Alumni Luncheon. This is the first year that the distaff side has been included and it sounds like a great idea. The College play is to be on Saturday night. As yet, we don't know what the play is going to be but you'll know in plenty of time to decide whether that's going to be part of your program or not.

The Class Business Meeting will be held at 10:30 on Sunday morning, at which time we'll hear reports about the last five years' activities and set up our organization for the next five years. At this time, you'll be called upon to approve certain reports and to vote on a slate of officers proposed by the Nominating Com- mittee ... or to make your own independent nominations if you so desire. Following the Class Business Meeting, everybody will gather for a buffet luncheon at the Inn ... and that will terminate the organized activities.

Naturally, you are interested in getting some idea of what Reunion should cost aside from your travelling expenses. This year, your Committee decided to keep things as simple and economical as possible. The Reunion uniform, for the men, will be a Dartmouth green sport shirt (most attractive and completely usable for regular wear after Reunion), which will cost you fio; the hat will be the regular golf-type cap with a mesh crown and the numerals '3l on the front of the crown. This will cost $1.25. Incidentally, the w.omen's (and children's) costume will consist of this cap.

The Sunday buffet will cost $2.75 per person; the cocktail party in the tent will run in the neighborhood of $2.50 per person; the College assessment to cover the dance, the Alumni Lunch, the play and various other incidentals will he $3 and then there'll be other items such as the beer, the band, the incidental music and equally incidental spurof-the-moment stuff will add other minor costs. The sum total for each man should be somewhere about $3O with an additional $lO for each wife and a wild guess at §5 for each youngster. Within the next 30 days or so, this money business should become a little more definite but that will give you a rough idea.

We have a lot of interesting things in mind that I think you'll like such as having the Class of '3r act as hosts to the Classes of '32 and '33 for an "at home" in the tent on Saturday night. Also, there will be various "gimmick" activities which are still in the embryo stage but which we think will add up to a very pleasant Reunion week-end. We're trying to keep everything just a.s simple as possible so that nobody will be tied down to organized routines. Most of the guys we've come in contact with have said that they just want a chance to get together with their classmates for a few days to renew long-time-ago and never-to-be-forgotten friendships.

For those who haven't quite decided whether they can be at Reunion, maybe all the foregoing has aroused enough of the fervor to shove them over that line of indecision. There are about 50 who have said, "I want to, but I'm not sure," and I certainly hope that that group, along with many o£ the others who at this time have said they don't think they could possibly make it, will finally find some way to join the rest o£ the gang in Hanover for those three days. Speaking for myself and as one who, except for this past year, has been a rather inactive alumnus and, therefore, somewhat representative of the majority of the Class ... I can honestly say that I've never looked forward to anything with as much pleasure as I'm anticipating '3l's 20th on June ,<5, 14 and 15.1 certainly hope to see you there.
