For you poor unfortunate woikin' folk what's lost yer yachts in New Year's Eve dice games and have to spend the winter on the job, we have to let you know that we're enjoying our Caribbean cruise right now hitting such exotic resorts as Jamaica, Martinique, Santo Domingo, San Juan, and (ugh!) Gitmo Bay. Rough, huh? Well, it'll be easier this spring when our vessel heads for the Med . .. the Riviera, Italy, etc. Where did we put our Bikini suit? Maybe that's it hanging on .. .

The Hitching Post

Along with yuletide greetings from BudMac Donald, now a j.g. on the USS Tanner(AGS-15), came the following good news regarding his marital status: "Possibly you've heard I took the leap here in New York on 25 October with a girl from San Francisco practically a namesake, Dolly McDonald. Living on Long Island until the ship sails on 5 January. My resignation has been tendered and accepted, but I'm not sure whether the Navy or I am happier. Hope to attend law school next fall."

Up in Nashua, N. H., Dave Tillotson costarred with Delight Mocas in a hometown ceremony on December 13. The bride is a graduate of Middlebury and the Columbia University School of Nursing. The couple stopped by Hanover on their way to St. Adele, Canada after the wedding and will set up house in Bethesda, Md. Best manning was Phil Hoadley and Dick Dale ushed.

Another Golden Gater figures in this month's report of matrimonial matters. The gal Johnny Moulton wed on December go is an inhabitant of the foggy town out there, Joyce Van Hossear to be explicit. Joyce studied at the University of Oregon and will graduate from Mills College while John is working for his Ph.D. at Cal after a year at the Sorbonne.

As we transcribble class nuptials at this time we have only predictions of things to come regarding another Blue-and-Gold groom, but, according to the crystal ball, on January 17 'twill be Lt (jg) and Mrs. ArnoldH. Bockstruck when they stroll down the aisle in Beverly Hills. Before that occurs the gal will be known as Jessie Mary Roberts, a grad of Southern Cal. Arnie's fighting the tough life of a San Diego-based officer following Hawaiian duty.

Walking the Last Mile

On November 29 it was announced that Miss Katharine Stevens and Jim Stevens will tie the knot sometime in the by and by. Notice the similarity of names, too? Adequately explained by the fact that his great-grandfather is her grandfather. That means that she is his . .. er, that he is her second . .. well, anyhow you can figure it out. Katy lives in Chi where she helps buy coats and suits at Charles A. Stevens & Co. Now Charles A. is... oh, no!

Next on the agenda of forthcoming rites is that of Aileen Nancy Brew of Greenwich, Conn., and Wally Young, recently returned from duty with the Second Division in Korea. The prospective bride is an alumna of Endicott Junior College.

Lt. Ken Clark of the Air Force has won the hand of a fair lass from Memphis, Tenn., Ellen Craft Ramsay. Ellen is a grad of Sweet Briar, and Ken was last heard of from Kirkland AFB, N. M.

Rattle Prattle

We've got a trio of toddlers in the Cincy area. Senior member of the triumvirate is "Hub" Hood, year-old son of Gordon andJoAnn Hood. Next in line would be Steve Sours, male off-spring of Tom and Jean Sours, who keep his bottle filled with milk punch supplied by the profits of selling road construction equipment. Junior in the trio is Bill Pulley's boy-san, a husky youth of some six months now. Martha Lee's spouse informs us he's still selling plywood and Johns Manville products in the area.

Among the recent arrivals, one Carnival Queen has ventured into our tepee to the delight and pride of Paul and Dottie Rouillard. Say they, "Susan Barbara, a real party girl, arrived on September 17, and brought 7 pounds 3 ounces with her!"

Bill Carpenter writes from Camp Atterbury, Ind., that he became a proud papa 27 October. "I won't say I was overly proud. He's as healthy a boy as they come and he eats like his old man. I figure him for about the Dartmouth Class of 1973. The name is Billy. I saw Tom Rowe two weeks ago; he had just been discharged after spending his hitch with the Special Services Section, I believe at Fort Leonard Wood, Kans., coaching and playing basketball. I've heard Jim Gilmore likes Austria and Ting has already joined him there."

To round out the reports for the nonce, Harry Van Benschoten informs us, "Mary Lou and I are proud to enlist another candidate for the future Tuck U. teams. Thomas was born bright and early Armistice morning, since babies are never born at respectable hours, and weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces. I saw Clift Whiteman and Bud Veghte recently, the latter in from Pittsburgh and U. S. Steel."

Military Miscellany

A fetching photo of the Atlantis hotel in Miami Beach served to announce the fact that Andy Wilde was not enduring undue hardships during his TAD under instruction at the Fleet Sonar School in Key West last fall. We managed a rendezvous in Norfolk around Christmas, but Tommy Ringe, playing jet jockey at nearby Oceana, didn't show. A few nights later, though, Ben and Betty Johnson met us at Breezy Point for egg nog and chit chat. Besides these and two younger Indians encountered in the environs, the Hampton Roads area proved less favorable for reunioning than Guantanamo.

Uncle Sugar Mule came through, however, in grand syle. Johnnie Caldwell skolled from Napoli and signed Hepper's name to the felicitations, but we suspect he's hiding her around Norfolk until the Chilton returns stateside. Hmmm, good advice. Taking no chances on becoming alchofluenced by inkohol, Lt (jg) Dick Hollands has brought his bride to the pearl of the Pacific, Guam, to help him bridge the gap between communications work and basketballing with the base team.

Dick Ribble forwarded a cozy scene by way of wishing the best for the new year and penned the following words, "Been down here at Pensacola for about a year now. Just finished basic Carrier Quals in an SNJ. After a couple of weeks of Xmas frivolity in New York I'm heading for Corpus Christi for advanced training in AD's, I hope, and then my wings in March or April. This is a great life but I'm still no 30-year man. Hear occasionally from Schau (Dan Schausten) and Carp (George Carpenter) who are fighting the wars." Ed. note: Dan's address is Ist Marine Division, you know where, with the Anglico signallers.

Headlining the Don't-You-Wish-You-Were-Too? Department, John Brodie has traded in a wornout Corporal title for Mister. Before casting aside the security and travel advantages of a job with Uncle, John warbled with The Four Beaux, a barbershop group at Camp Irwin, and swung a mean racket on the tennis team. Soon to join the "outs," PeteBucklin has been hanging around the Hingham, Mass., Naval Ammunition Depot and off skiing with Babe Boyce.

Closing oat with the zoom pigeons, we find Al Tarr sporting new gold bars since last fall and taking gunnery training, of the airborne sort, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. GirardSmith boasts an AAF after his name and a Brooklyn address. Finally, the guy with the bushy white beard, red suit and a sleigh proclaimed the tidings that Frank Harrington is still at Wright Patterson AFB within striking

distance of the liquor cabinets of the Cincinnati troops. Strike number what coming up? Inkadental Intelligentz

Somewhere near here should be a picture of Nev and Vally Chamberlain with brother Bill '54 in his atypical Indian outfit. Nev has been upstate in New York at Saranac for treatment and, as his better half points out, doesn't look particularly ill. Comes spring they'll be back Boston way though their plans are not yet firm.

Some of November's Hanover returnees included Dick Zeising, King Kenny (what prompted the long trek from L. A., boy???), Rog Simmons, Frank. Gilroy and Ray King.

Guess that'll do 'er for a while. Thanks to all you well-wishers who have been trying to get this one back to full-time civilian pursuits as of June, but there are at least another 16 months of Navy ahead as you read this. Condolence cards should specify the location and proof of any more tangible tokens of sorrow you wish us to have. Merry shussing to you.

THE YOUNGER GENERATION: Nev Chamberlain '5O (I) and his wife Vally hold a family caucus with Bill '54, shown in his atypical Indian outfit.

STATIONED IN GERMANY: Pfc. Willard Leshure '5l is serving as a technician in Stuttgart. He re- cently completed a season as halfback on the Stutt- gart Military Post football team.
