Howdy, bub! Where ya been? Nary a word for quite a spell, but then the feeling's mutual, no doubt. Funny the way three months can slip away into nothing but a recollection of heat, humidity, and highballs. However, in anticipation of being jazzed up by nippier weather along about the time you get this and September's bills, we're raring to go, hot to trot and what-not, and most impressed by the long line up at....
THE HITCHING POST
Since the list runs back to April, think we'll take those nuptials consummated through the month of June now and hit July and August at the next go-around. First up was Jim Malone who wed Rosemary A. Sheehy of Lawrence, Mass., on April 20. Jim, a member of the Newton High School faculty, had RussNeale on hand to bolster his morale, pass the pretzels, and incidentally do a little ushering. The following Saturday, April 25, in Grand Rapids, Mich., Eleanor Jean Henry became the bride of Jim Maroney. Mrs. M. is a grad of Wellesley College and attended the Art Students League of New York.
No doubt the traditional wedding march was at least accompanied on ukulele for the Honolulu marriage of Ens. Dick Frey and Jayne Beach of South Orange, N. J., on May 8. Next day in Hitchcock Memorial Church in Scarsdale, N. Y., Barbara McConway Horn and Bill R. Collins were married. Bill graduated from the Harvard Med School in June (as did a few others see below for medical details) and cornered a couple of other sawbones to consultation, Dr. "Red" Brown as best man, and Dr. Jim Strickler among the ushers. Barbara is a Smith grad.
Roger Simmons and Joan Megnin enjoyed a trip to St. Thomas, V. I., before settling down as mouse and spouse after their June 12 nuptials. A Waban wedding on June 13 featured Al Kerivan and Jane Theresa Perry. "Spif" took his Lesley College gal to Lake Louise, returning to Norwell, Mass., to set up house. Taking care of ushering details was Walt Crowley.
"Be it ever so humble, there's no place like emergency operating." Such may be the byword of George McClary and his bride of June 20 in her hometown of Norfolk, Nebr. Seems that the femme, Roberta Rice, graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Nursing, George from Northwestern University Medical School, and he's interning at the Evanston Hospital now. Handling scapels and sutures at the hoe-down was twin brother Andy McClary.

Jack, who finished the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance some time ago, and his wife are living in New Castle, Pa.
WALKING THE LAST MILE
A whole herd of crazy cats are strutting the final fifty-two eighty these days, and one of the initial proclaimants at this report was made on June 7 when intelligence leaked out that Bruce Parker and Anne Loveland Rich of Newton, Mass., were engaged. She was classmate of the above mentioned Smithie, '51 that'd be.
Also of early summer vintage was the announcement concerning Lt. (jg) Bill Williams USN, and Gladysmary Cahill of Staten Island, N. Y. RATTLE PRATTLE
A bumper crop of bouncing bambinos since last we tallied toddlers. Old man of the group is a "ferrener," Frederick Emil Klett 111, born at 28th General Hospital, La Rochelle, France. This healthy eight-pound specimen is the son of Lt. and Airs. Fred Klett II (logical, huh?), and we take it Fred is stationed in France, n'est-ce pas? By the way, have any other 'sos managed an overseas parenthood? First of three girl-sans to herald is Tom Ruggles' babe, Rebecca Lachenel Ruggles, born 23 April.
"Shhh! Please be quiet as a mouse! Did you know we have a brand new baby in our house?" That would be daughter Julie, pink-ribbon blessing for Stan and Barb Frederick on May 25.
George Nugent's spouse Jean sent "a few bare facts" concerning their new offspring of June 20, Caroline, who arrived at Glover Memorial Hospital, Needham, Mass. Congratulations to all you new and renewed proud mamas and papas. The same goes to the nice folks headed for the chopping block and those already spliced mentioned above.
SERVICE SCENERY
A rousing wah-hoo-wah to Second Looie Fran Austin who was decorated by the Commanding General of the 7th Division in Korea with the Bronze Star, including the "V" for valor in combatl The award was the result of action on infamous "Old Baldy," March 24-26, in which Fran acted as forward observer for his artillery battalion providing covering fire for three infantry regiments. While on the subject of Navy air, we ran into Ray DeVoe at the O-club in Norfolk the end of August and swapped yarns about air controlling and allied skills required for CIC Officers. Next day Paul and Fran Canada were encountered on the sands of Virginia Beach and we learned that his squadron, VS-30 (we'd better have that right, he told us three times), had. recently returned from a trip to the Mediterranean. Couldn't get any good addresses though.

SCOOP ON SCHOLASTICS
While most of you were either marking time with Uncle or cutting a swath through the business world in the past few years, a number of the more determined and, let's face it, studious members were slaving at the books for additional honors in the realm of learning. Addicted to the Good Book was Jim Birney, who graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary and has been named assistant to the rector of St. Alban's Church in Washington, D. C., after being ordained June 13.... Next profession on the list is medicine, and Dick Best received his M.D. from Penn June 10. He's interning there and has gathered about him a wife, the former Maryann Coulson of Denver, and year-and-a-half old daughter, Kimberly, neither of whom has been previously reported to the best of our knowledge.... The half dozen graduates of Harvard's Med School included Ken Anderson, Bill Collins, whom you've heard about, Warren Franz, Paul Lena, Bud Nagle, and Aaron Stevens.
The duet of biz grads from fair Hah-vud were Tor Arneberg and Bill Taylor.... Five lads won law degrees on graduation day in Cambridge, June 11: King Jarvis, Bob Kilmarx, who went on to get a p. g. at the Navy's Justice School in Newport and thence to active (ugh) duty, Lee Sarokin, Bill Tarlow, and Bob Waterman, whose nuptials last month will be properly acknowledged in the November notes. Harvard also bestowed a Master's on Dave Davis in Arts.
Other new lawyers, with their universities, were Gordie Hood at Cincinnati, Tony Ambrose, Rutgers, and Bob Devitt from Fordham.... And to close up, a Dartmouth product, mech engines degree to John Sirois at Thayer.
