A Dartmouth-in-Government Luncheon took place on March 18 in Concord when 11 alumni holding public office in New Hampshire met to hear Robert H. Reno '38, a partner in the law firm of Orr and Reno, speak on "Practical Prospects for Disarmament." Lane Dwinell '28, President of the Senate, presided.
This was the fourth consecutive session during which Dartmouth men in the New Hampshire legislature have met together in Concord; at the last two meetings they have been joined by Dartmouth alumni in the State government. This year a number of men who had planned to be present were unable to attend because of an extraordinarily long session in the House of Representatives. Arrangements for the get-together were made by James C. Bingham '18.
Those present at the luncheon meeting were: Senator Harold Kendall 'lB, Surry; Senator Lane Dwinell '28, Lebanon; Merton C. Knapp '07, design engineer, Public Works and Highways; Harold K. Davison '15, Public Utilities Commission chairman; Russell H. Leavitt '16, chief, division of instruction, State Board of Education; Percy H. Steele '17, Administration and Control; Philip D. McInnis '36, Deputy Treasurer; James C. Bingham '18, and Robert H. Reno '38.
