Joseph A. McVicar, who has been lost to our records for some time, has at last been found. Our records showed that he had been inducted into the Naval Reserve in 1917 as an ensign, while on the staff of the Boston Advertiser. The Navy Dept. reports that he received an honorable discharge on May 17, 1921, and died on June 3, 1933. What he did in between and where he died we do not know. We shall be glad to receive any further information about him from anyone who knows.
The eight-class dinner was held in Boston on May 1. The program was formed around the 1903 football team. Myron Witham, the captain, was there and spoke. In attendance were Watson, Kidger, Dick Brown, Kenerson,Bates, Whipple, Edwards, O. W. Smith, C. T.Hall and Howard. A. K. Smith had intended to be there but reported he was in the hospital. He did not say what was the trouble.
Added attraction for our 50th Reunion: President Eisenhower will be in Hanover on June 14 to receive an honorary degree.
