Members of The Dartmouth Club of Berkshire County and their wives joined in honoring our retiring Secretary, Harry B. Johnson '04, on Dartmouth Night, at the Williams Inn, Williamstown, Mass. Harry is retiring after twenty years' service to become permanent Secretary of his own class.
As a tribute to his great service, Probate Judge F. Anthony Tony Hanlon '22 presented Harry with a watch and scroll on behalf of the Club, which read: "To Harry Johnson '04, from Dartmouth Club of Berkshire County October 1, 1954. A man whose love of Dartmouth is a living definition of what is meant by the Dartmouth spirit; a man whose unwavering loyalty, happily for us, embraces as well every son of Dartmouth, good, bad or mediocre; a man whose enthusiasm we have exploited, whose generosity we have abused, whose time and energy we have expended freely, and whose friendship we cherish."
Prof. AI Foley '20 topped the evening with an interesting and entertaining recap of Dartmouth traditions intertwined with Vermont humor.
Secretary, E. D. Jones & Sons, Pittsfield, Mass.
