If you have not signed on to attend the big 60th Reunion June 12—14 do so NOW. As one of our distinguished classmates said so succinctly, "Plan to come back for the 60th and avoid seeing your name in the obit column of the DAM." You will see pictures of you and your classmates taken at our 50th, and you will be amazed how little change there has been. Undoubtedly, you remember the unusual food we were all fed as freshmen in the Commons. That is now the magnificent Collis Student Center, which includes a cafeteria. If you have not been to the College for ten years or more, you should visit all or most of the following: the Hood Museum, the Lansing Porter Moore Theater in the Hopkins Center, the Kiewit Computation Center, the Berry Sports Complex, Thompson Arena, and the Leverone Field House.
Ralph and Trudie Specht will attend the 60th and then join a Dartmouth tour of Belgium and Holland. The trip starts the day after reunion with a flight from Boston, and Ralph hopes that other '35s will join them. Ireneand Mort Blum of Dallas (Pennsylvania, not Texas) had a great trip to London, where they stayed in an apartment discovered via a tip given to Mort by Dero Saunders. Don Hagerman and Wiley Hubbell bodi continue to be very much wrapped up in building houses for Habitat for Humanity.
Bucks Weil has recovered remarkably well from a lung operation without radiation and expects to be with us at the 60th. A new knee seems to have affected Bill Blakeslee's golf game. Marvin Rauch appears to be content at home on eastern Long Island except for visits to his children in other parts of the U.S. However, he does point out that he is strongly influenced by the "joys of a lap-top." Chuck Gillan's wife, Carol, died just after they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. BillWarren has been elected as a trustee of two worthy institutions, one of which is the new Franklin Museum of Science and the Human Spirit in Windsor, Vt.
Whether or not you expect to attend the big 60th, please return your statement for the updated yearbook.
