December 1954 WILL A. CHARLES

I suppose the Secretary of a class of several hundred has his troubles, but when there are only six, and two refuse to say anything, it makes the task of finding something to write much harder. Rowe is in good health and bids fair to reach the age of 90.

I visited Hanover a few days ago, and called on Gerould. I found him in fairly good health, and we rode around the town commenting on the Dartmouth difEerent from the one we knew. Then just to enjoy the beauties of New Hampshire and Vermont, I returned to White River Junction, took Route 4 to Rutland, with a detour to the home and grave of President Coolidge in Plymouth, where the altim- eter once showed a height of 2600 feet. Then to Manchester, Vt., and from there to Brattleboro, over the West River drive, carved out of the side of the mountain with the river on the other side, and the altimeter showing 2400 feet. Then to Keene, a comfortable bed and fine meals at the Winding Brook Motel. I recommend trip as an alternative to Northampton.
