The first meeting of the new season of the Dartmouth Club of Maine was held at the Cumberland Club on October 17 in conjunction with Dartmouth Night. There was a good turn-out, and a good time was had by all.
Ernest While '05 entertained us with a dissertation on the history of Daniel Webster, which was followed by a movie, "Dartmouth Out-of-Doors."
Evidently, between Hanover and Portland, our notes on the annual Dartmouth Clambake had been mislaid, but we did hold one in June in York, Maine as more or less the guest of Judge Arthur Sewall '04. There was an excellent turn-out of almost 100 alumni and wives, with several from the State of New Hampshire joining in our festivities. It should be noted that we were served one of Judge Sewall's famous fish chowders, and anyone who has not tasted this has a definite treat coming to him, if lucky enough to have the chance. We felt that a vote of thanks was due Judge Sewall, and it was so recorded.
